1. What Is a Stall Kit?

Not all horse stalls are built the same—and that's exactly why you're here.
At Seven Peaks Fence and Barn, when we say stall kit, we’re talking about a modular setup made from our heavy-duty horse panels.
Each kit typically includes a front panel with a gate, two side panels, and a back panel.
This setup is what we call modular. It’s like using sturdy building blocks. You can start small and expand later by simply adding more panels.
No full barn build or construction crew needed. And while we don’t offer sliding barn doors or polished trim, our rustic, Western-style stalls are safe, strong, and built to work hard for years to come.
2. Choosing Stall Size

Well, "bigger isn't always better" might be a great motto in life—but it's actually a bit the opposite in the world of horse stalls.
That said, you don't have to go big or go home. The right size stall depends entirely on your horse and how you plan to use your new stall.
At Seven Peaks, we use 10-foot horse fencing panels as our base building block. That means our stall kits come in:
- 10x10 — a compact and efficient setup
- 10x20 — more room to move and have separate eating space
- 20x20 — a more luxurious option with room to lay down
Here’s what to think about when choosing size:
- Horse size & breed — Ponies may be fine in a 10x10. Larger breeds need more space.
- Time in the stall — If they’re out most of the day, smaller is fine. Inside more? Give them room.
- Ventilation & structure — Under a roof or in a barn? Plan for airflow and ceiling height.

Durability That Holds Up
We like to say our stall kits are ranch tough, not retail tough. Built to withstand high heat, mud, cold snaps, chewing, kicking, and leaning—we build these panels for the crazy, diverse weather of Arizona and Texas.
Here’s what sets our horse fencing panels apart:
- 14-gauge steel — At least twice as strong as most big box store panels
- Stronger welds — Engineered for impact resistance
- Weld warranty — Backed by a 1-year weld warranty
Our owners started as horse owners. That’s why our stall designs don't use pin latches, bottom loops, or other hazards.
They’re designed to work in the elements and live with horses who are shockingly willing to injure themselves on basically anything.
Start Small, Build Smart
One of the biggest advantages of building with a Seven Peaks stall kit is that you don’t have to build everything all at once. You can invest in what you need today—and expand when the time and your budget are right.
Since our stall kits are made from modular horse panels, many of our customers move them when they relocate.
They generally fit in a horse trailer—though don’t mistake that for lightweight. These panels are heavy-duty, but manageable, movable, and designed to grow.
Panels connect with panel clamps, so you can shift your setup as your property or herd evolves.
Want to move your stall closer to a barn or riding arena? No problem. Here’s how many of our customers grow:
- Give their daughter a pony...Start with a single stall
- Decide the pony needs a friend...Add room for a companion horse or donkey
- Realize riding is fun together...Build out a full row of stalls so everyone has a horse
That’s the beauty of modular design—buy once, build smart, and grow as you go with our stall add-on kits.
Installation Tips

Our stall kits are incredibly easy to install. But there’s more to setting up a stall than putting panels together.
Here are a few things to consider before you build:
- Drainage — Avoid low spots or muddy zones
- Visibility — Set up where you can check on them easily (yes, even from the kitchen window)
- Land prep — Clear trees or stumps in advance
- Footing — Level ground and good footing go a long way
If you’re unsure about land prep, we can point you to local help.
Panel Comparison
Every horse is unique, which is why we offer a variety of panel types for your stall kit build-out:
Standard Horse Panels
- 4-Rail — Simple and strong

- 5-Rail — Smaller gaps, more peace of mind
Heavy-Duty Panels
- 5-Rail Heavy-Duty — A popular middle-choice.

- 6-Rail Heavy-Duty — A foot taller, BLM-compliant, great for Mustangs, young horses, or fence testers
Even if your current horse is calm and easy, investing in a little extra height and durability is a smart move. You never know who might join the herd down the road.
